Why everyone keeps coming back.

Situated in the bustling Bang Khen district of Bangkok, Sushi Kenken is a charming Japanese and Southeast Asian restaurant that offers an authentic culinary escape without stepping far from home. This cozy spot on Ram Inthra Road specializes in delivering traditional Japanese flavors with a fresh, vibrant touch that resonates with locals and visitors alike.

Step inside Sushi Kenken and you’ll immediately notice the clean, comfortable ambiance that invites you to relax and savor each dish. The décor strikes a perfect balance between casual and refined, creating an atmosphere that is welcoming whether you’re dining solo or with friends and family.

The true star here is, without question, the sushi. Reviewers consistently praise the impeccable freshness of the fish and the generous portion sizes that elevate every dining experience. The rice is expertly seasoned, the cuts are precise, and each bite melts effortlessly, leaving a delicate umami lingering on the palate. From expertly rolled nigiri to beautifully crafted sashimi, the menu showcases a delightful range of textures and flavors that will excite any sushi lover.

While the full menu is not listed, loyal customers have celebrated signature dishes like the BARA DON—a beautifully arranged rice bowl topped with a colorful assortment of fresh sashimi—hailed for its balance of quality and affordability. Every plate at Sushi Kenken is served with evident care, reflecting a deep respect for Japanese culinary traditions.

Though the absence of beer on the menu might catch some by surprise, the focus here remains undistracted: delivering food that is authentically prepared and boldly flavorful. One guest noted that the restaurant’s exceptional sushi transcends this minor shortfall, emphasizing that impeccable quality should always come first.

Sushi Kenken’s team brings warmth and attentiveness to service, enhancing the overall dining journey. Patrons often mention the friendly approach and genuine hospitality that make each visit memorable, turning a simple meal into a shared experience of discovery and delight.

Whether you are seeking a flavorful taste of Japan or a comforting Japanese meal in a welcoming setting, Sushi Kenken stands out as a destination worth savoring in Bangkok’s diverse dining landscape.

Nice sushi good taste and a nice clean place. Very tasty. To bad they had no beer on the menu. Very fresh fish and good portions. Maybe a menu or selection would be fine to order.

We got here by pure chance after landing in DMK and having couple of hours to spend. The prices are affordable, and we didn't expect this kind of treat! The dish sizes are great. Everything was served fresh and with care! The lovely team served us kindly and made sure we got each of our dishes well prepared. We enjoyed every dish! Each was flavourful and unique and was truly authentic Japanese cuisine. Definitely a great surprise for this hidden gem.

The tastyest and best sushi I've had in Thailand and even in USA. Forget about the drunkard farang complaining about lack of beer as if that matters in a restaurant where the food is amazing.

I'm not going to lie, it's just ok. But you know what, it's better than Fuji over at Central Plaza but let's be real, this area of Bangkok isn't gonna make it on Anthony Bourdain's itinerary. The restaurant itself comfortable inside and the service was good so extra point for that.

Located just near the entrance of Ram Inthra soi 5. Parking aplenty and is located just at the front of the restaurant. My go to place for affordable Japanese food when in the area. They have the usual fare of shading, sushi, rolls, dons, etc. Sashimi is always fresh and cuts are pretty generous. Do expect the pricing for premium items like unagi and wagyu to be higher than the normal dishes. The wasabi packs a punch at this place, best to go easy at first to test your tolerance. Love the staff here, friend and always wears a big smile! They are kind enough to send my orders to the neighbouring bar as well!
